the accommodation

We have twenty traditional Fijian bures, approximately half are located right on the beachfront and the remainder about 5 seconds walk from the beach. We also have seven spacious luxury suites located right on the beach, either Poppy's Lodge located in the middle of the resort or "The Point's" at either end of the beach. For our long term travellers we have several dormitories and five private bungalows.

Bures

Bure- pronounced m-boo-ray, is the Fijian word for house or building.

Bure's can accommodate, singles, couples and families. Each bure has its own private bathroom featuring a environmentally friendly solar powered hot water system, electricity and ceiling fans to keep you nice and cool.

You'll love our open roofed showers, they of course are completely private but offer that back to nature feel by being able to gaze up at the tree's, blue sky or stars.

All bures have a queen size and single bed. There is more than enough room to add another single bed or a crib for an infant. We offer baby cribs for no extra charge. The bures are serviced daily by our housekeeping team. In addition to our fluffy bath towels we also provide fresh beach towels each day for our guests.

Outside Poppies

Poppys

Poppy's is dedicated to the memory of New Zealander Ross Arnott. Ross was a man of the sea, there was nothing he loved more than a day on the water with his family and friends and rum with his mates. Ross constantly reminded those around him to have more fun in their lives. A humble man, with no formal education, Ross was "asked" to leave school at age 14. He started life building roadside curbs; by the time he passed away he had built a significant property portfolio . Along the way, Poppy never forgot his roots or the many friends he made through his life's journey. Poppy was an inspiration to those who knew him; we couldn't think of a more fitting tribute than to name a building located in a fun filled place, just a stones throw from the waters edge, in his honour.

The Point - Luxury Accomodation

These four beautifully appointed, air conditioned suites are absolute beachfront. Nestled into the cliff face at the northern and southern ends of the property they have large balcony space that can be either separated or open to make one large balcony. Each suite has its own sundeck and beautiful open-air bathroom. With the combination of traditional Fijian architecture and modern building finishes sit back and enjoy paradise.

Octopus uses solar power, backed up by a generator and to run non gas, kitchen and bar appliances. Fresh Mountain Spring Water

Octopus has fresh, unlimited, mountain spring water. Each bure is equipped with electric lighting and fans . Bures and have power points for charging a battery or using a walkman but please leave that hair dryer at home as we try to limit having to use fossil fuels to power the generator when natural solar energy harnessed from the sun is in plentiful supply
