• The resort is quite laid back and we find that most guests prefer the daily ‘beach attire’ of sarongs and swimwear for the women and ‘t shirt and swimming trunks’ for the men. More often that not, you will find that you forget all together about your shoes and go barefoot everywhere. The bar and restaurant have a sand floor, so no shoes needed at meal times. But along with what to wear, we find the below are the things that are important to know about:

The resort has a swimming pool and a beachside bar located in front of the restaurant. Octopus Resort has a stunning white sandy beach, with fantastic sunsets, and amazing snorkeling right off the beach, the resort also has a swimming pool.

Our snorkelling and scuba are world class. We have incredibly healthy, vibrant corals and sea-life. Our 30+ dive sites take you to beatiful examples of different scuba adventures. We also run regular trips to swim with manta rays from May to November.

A daily laundry service is available to all guests for a small charge. There is a telephone available for guests use at the office for making local or international calls. We also have a Satellite broadband Internet Service so you can check your email, and stay in touch with the outside world if you wish.

There are also plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas for guest use around the pool and on the beach in front of the restaurant. The Beachfront Bures have their own private sun loungers and umbrellas located on the beach. There is also our Padi dive shop where you can arrange diving, game fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking and snorkeling equipment.

There is also our Sulua Day Spa which offers massage, pedicure, manicure  and many other treatments to pamper our in house guests.

There are daytime and night time activities every day so guests can always find something interesting to do, if they can make it out of their sun lounger.

Arriving and Departing: You are able to arrive to the resort by boat there are several ferries running a daily service and there is also a charter boat service for flights that don’t match the ferry services for an additional fee. The boat transfer time is approx 1 hour and 15 mins . Our reservations team can help book the appropriate method of arrival that suites your needs.

WiFi – the resort offers complimentary 30 min WiFi after this there is a charge. There is Wifi in the restaurant and bar area.

Electricity – Fiji runs off the same voltage as Australia and New Zealand  – 220 to 240 volts

Drinking Water – We do advise you to not drink the water that is in any of the bures as while its safe this is non treated. However, extensive measures have been put in place to ensure that the water accessing the kitchen, bar and restaurant is all filtered to drinking standards and this is also tested weekly to ensure that is is safe to drink

Safes  – All the rooms have personal safe’s. And for dorms and bungalows we have a safe in the office.

Beach Towels – All provided during your stay in your room.

Daily Room Servicing – The lovely house keeping ladies will be attending to your room between 10am and 4 pm daily to refresh your room for you – to make sure you have everything that you need and ensure another comfortable day and nights sleep for you. Please do feel free to let them know if you require anything extra and you will find that they are only too happy to help.

Hairdryers – are available in Beachfront Villas only and are able to be borrowed from the office if you require one.

Tea and coffee Facilities – These facilities are available in Poppies or the Points or at the bar in the restaurant from 7am – 6pm, this is complimentary.

Boutique – The resort has a small boutique which offers the essentials – like shampoo and tooth brushes and toiletry items, just in case you forget them and you can also find things like dresses, Fiji souvenirs, postcards and resort hats and apparel.

Daily Room Charges – All activties and beverage charges are placed back onto your room account and payable upon checkout. At the time of any bar purchase or booking an activity, you will be asked to sign a docket, as you can imagine, with all nationalities and accents, it can be easily done to hear the incorrect room number and you may be asked to pay for someones else’s pina colada, but this is not our intention and you can help by signing your tabs each day.

Dining – The dining room is very relaxed with communal style dining where everyone sits at the same time for dinner. There however are smaler tables available and the restaurant staff will be able to advise you, depending on the meal theme, whoch locations you are able to choose from. Though unlike in and around the resort, we do insist on proper attire here – such as evening appropriate clothing, after all, we are casual, but bikinis do not work at dinnertime.

Money Exchange – The resort does not have a ATM or money out facility, so we do advise that if required, you organise your FJ$ dollars when you arrive in to Fiji at the airport. On checkout, you are able to use Visa and Mastercard and FJ$ cash.

Babysitting – Can be arranged for you and many families end up organising their very own private Nanny for the week – at only FJ$5 per hour for up to 2 children, this is a great way to all experience the best time possible, alone time and family time
